As the first College of Osteopathic Medicine in Arkansas, NYIT trains physicians for a lifetime of learning, while instilling servant leadership through community involvement. NYITCOM-Arkansas is committed to addressing the physician shortage in Arkansas and the Mississippi Delta region by producing doctors. NYITCOM is also passionate about creating health-education programs to help inform the public in a region that ranks near the bottom in many health outcomes.
