Jordyn Huitema is a Canadian soccer superstar who has been making waves in the sport since she was a young girl. She is a forward for the Canadian Women’s National Team and the Paris Saint-Germain Football Club. She is also the youngest player to ever score for the Canadian Women’s National Team. Early Soccer Career
Huitema’s soccer career began at the age of five when she joined a local soccer team in her hometown of Chilliwack, British Columbia. She quickly developed a passion for the sport and began to excel. By the age of nine, she was playing for the Vancouver Whitecaps FC Girls Elite program. She was also selected to join the BC Soccer Provincial Team and the Canadian National Training Centre.
Training and Development
Huitema’s training and development as a soccer player was intense. She trained with the Whitecaps FC Girls Elite program for four years, and then moved on to the Vancouver Whitecaps FC Residency program. She also trained with the Canadian National Training Centre and the BC Soccer Provincial Team. She was coached by some of the best coaches in the country, and her hard work and dedication paid off.
Professional Soccer Career
At the age of 15, Huitema signed her first professional contract with the Vancouver Whitecaps FC. She made her professional debut in 2017, becoming the youngest player to ever play for the Whitecaps. She went on to score her first professional goal in 2018, and was named the Whitecaps FC Player of the Year.
In 2019, Huitema signed with the Paris Saint-Germain Football Club, becoming the first Canadian woman to ever play for the team. She has since become a key player for the team, scoring several goals and helping the team to win the 2019-2020 French Women’s Division 1 title.
International Success
Huitema’s success with the Canadian Women’s National Team has been remarkable. She made her debut for the team in 2018, becoming the youngest player to ever score for the team. She has since scored several goals for the team, including the game-winning goal in the 2019 CONCACAF Women’s Championship. She was also named the 2019 Canadian Player of the Year.
