Migos’ Offset Shot at Florida Casino

by ARKANSAS DIGITAL NEWS

Migos rapper Offset was shot in the leg earlier today (April 6) outside a casino in Hollywood, Florida. “We can confirm Offset was shot and is currently at the hospital receiving medical care,” a spokesperson for Offset told Pitchfork. “He is stable and being closely monitored.”

The incident took place in the valet area of the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, according to a representative for the Seminole County Police. “Seminole Police were on site immediately and the situation was contained quickly. Two individuals have been detained by police. The investigation is ongoing. The site is secure and there is no threat to the public,” they told TMZ.

In 2022, Offset’s childhood friend and Migos co-founder Takeoff was shot and killed in Houston, Texas. The Atlanta hip-hop trio formally disbanded that following year after Offset and Quavo performed a tribute dedicated to Takeoff. “I’ve been going to sleep and waking up hoping that all of this is a dream, but it’s reality, and reality feels like a nightmare,” Offset said at the time. “Even though I know you will always be with us, throw me a lil sign or a beautiful dream.”

Last month, Quavo starred in the first trailer for Takeover, an upcoming action thriller film in which he stars as Guy Miller, a parolee who enters the street-racing scene and gets roped into a diamond heist. The movie is directed by Greg Jonkajtys and also stars Billy Zane, Serayah, and the late Takeoff in his final posthumous film appearance.
